THE ONE THAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN
The Bathurst 1000 is the great race of Australian motorsport, and the V8 SCOPS Premier Series Bathurst 1000 is Sim Racing's equivalent. We had an awesome race for the majority of the day out front (and a troublesome one for our others!), with the #12 of Cooper Webster and Jordan Caruso leading 99 laps of the race. Ultimately a strategic error from our side led us to finish well down on where we could have finished in the end, but that's how it is sometimes when you roll the dice.
We had some really notable performances of course from the #12 car who did an awesome job all day, and the #83 car of Ryan Wood and Simon "L8AP3X" Feigl who started 52nd and climbed up into 9th position despite a massive 56 second stop and hold early in the race from a pitstop error.
Our oval racers Matt Danson and Christian Pedersen were absolutely stoked to come home in 13th place in their first ever V8 SCOPS Bathurst 1000 - Congrats to them!
The mountain bit hard for our #024 and #088 cars that unfortunately could not finish the race, however both ran very strongly during the race before their incidents.
Lastly, congratulations to Madison Down and Josh Anderson from Trans Tasman Racing on claiming the great race! We'll be back next year to do it all again I'm sure!
